Hey TJ Jesus Man- La Ceiba Week Twenty Six

I'm not even sure what happened this week so much stuff was happening and I'm just here for the ride ngl

We gave like 8 Priesthood blessings this week which was crazy because I've given like 1 the whole rest of my mission. I also gave 2 of the actual blessings and for all those spanish learners out thereπŸ™ƒ switching to "Tu" form after learning "Usted" is just impossible but aye the blessings still count I thinkπŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Elder Shanklin and other Elders and members

One of them we gave, the dude had just gotten in a motorcycle crash and he showed us a video of his whole leg open basically but we gave the blessing to him and now we are having a ward activity at his house and last time we stopped by he had bought us socks as a present so honestly dope family

SERGIOO

So this kid named Sergio is 10 but we have the same birthday and are lowkey tight rn. He gave me some putty the last time I went over and we talked about Minecraft and Spiderman. Dudes really into venom and hopefully he wants to get baptized but rn he has alot of my respect cause most kids are just like sure I'll get baptized but he like questions everything and wants to understand so dope dude

Elder Shanklin having some fun

BEEFπŸ–

I lowkey love my district rn but there's been alot of tension between companionship which has been rough, district counsils are just people lowky insulting each other and it's kinda brutal sometimes haha but we surviving so far and transfer in 2 weeks so I think we can make it

The elders were enjoying a dinner

Besides that something I've thought alot about this week was a talk I listened to called "Waiting On The Road To Damascus" it's really good and my bible knowledge isn't the best but I like the idea of how sometimes we wait in our lives to recieve some miracle or "to see a light" as to testify of Jesus Christ instead of wanting to work for it. Being a disciple of Jesus Christ isn't something passive it's a step by step process.

streets of La Ceiba

That's all I got this week

OH and smth random we lowkey helping this 15 year old youth out by taking him on visits to see his crush, we gonna make it so he baptizes her #chapter14 😎😎

Getting Put Up For Adoption- La Ceiba Week Twenty Five

we did divisions 3 times this week and all of them were planned by my comp so maybe some hints going on there tsk tsk

Nah but fr all 3 divisions were so lit heres the run down

#1 ELDER PHILLIPS

So bros our AP (assistant to president) so I was on my absolute best behavior. Nah jk I was being my normal self and it was such a chill day. We talked about football, video games, college life, yk all tbe chill stuff. He's from California but went to Utah state for a year and loves football so we got along good. He also thinks im gonna train next transfer... yikes

#2 ELDER BLATTMAN

my ZL and bro did XC in highschool and went to some of the same races my friends did so we get along chill. He's a fun dude so we had a good time

#3 ELDER JORGENSEN

yahhh you read that right, for all the fans who read this weekly that's NUMBER 4 yuh we've done 4 divions together and 2 in back to back weeks. Always a good time we worked hard but got some smoothies and watched some if the chosen so good times

The week went by pretty speedily because of all the divions but my comp is starting to be a little difficult. AND SPANISH I can see it's coming slowly but holy this language is so nuts, and having a latino comp can be hard cause everybody just talks to him and I get ignored but it's okay lord sees efforts✊️

I think that's what I want to share today. Alot of the time from other people's perspectives it might seem we aren't giving our all, but all that matters is you are trying your best. God will see your efforts and magnify them beyond belief.

Elder Shanklin and Elder Joregensen

Besides that honduras still be being honduras out here. Lots of weird things happening everyday but just how it is lol. We visited that white lady who speaks english from a month or two ago and she still didn't want to tell us anything so rip. But yep mission still going out here that's all I got this week

3peats For Some- La Ceiba Week Twenty Four

Shoutout to my boy Patrick mahomes for totally carrying those eagles to a win didnt know he was chill like that, and shoutout to my nephew asher who just changed from a chiefs to eagles fan honestly w decisionπŸ”₯πŸ”₯

K but high of the week is I did divisions AGAIN with my b elder jorgensen (that's 3 times now) or for the people who really know him it's JJ kinda like jj Mccarthy, quarterback for the 2024 ncaa national football championship team the Michigan wolverines but eh not important. I love being with this guy so much we just vibe all day and (also teach) but we just go on side quests. We found this girl walking with with what looked like really good icecream so we followed her and asked her where she got it then went searching for it. Also explored some abandoned houses pretty chill and watched a little of the chosen.

Overall a little frustrating week with the comp and spanish but I know God's got some blessings in store so dw bout me we chillin

Something I just learned this week is the importance of being obedient and doing what God wants, we teach every day that the blessings always come after the trial of faith but I know that it's true. The trial of faith can be hard but I encourage everyone to do it

Thugging it out- La Ceiba Week Twenty Three

Some dude this week said we just out here thugging it out so thats how I live my life now #thuglife

Besides that it was transfer this week and thanks to some goated revolution im staying in the same area with the same comp so we didnt have any travels this week

Elder Shanklin at the Carribean

One crazy thing that happened is this dude we've been teaching that has been recieving everything all of the sudden just apostazised against us. We just wanted to stop by and say yo if you want the truth you gotta pray. BUT he didn't like that and started telling us we worship joseph smith and the book of mormon is fake. He also said that we need to study the Bible more and that we are super young and need to learn the truth so yesssirrrr.

Honestly the situation seems bad but it was such a testimony strengthener, bro ranted to us for 2 hours and the whole time I realized not once was I thinking he was right. I literally kept thinking that im just so grateful I know everything is true and I have this gospel. The guy was still respectful but at the end I really just wished he would accept the message we had cause it would benefit his life.

Beautiful Sunset

Besides that this week we got a new ZL and bros a xc runner so we related a bit on life but he goes home soon so not on that lol

Also did divisions and gotta go to the beach so DUBSSSS

Besides that just love this gospel and something I

Cinnabon in Honduras

heard from a BYU talk is enduring isn't just finding joy in the end the journey is part of it too
