Witness Protection Program-La Ceiba Week Twenty Two

 Basically nothing happened this week except I WENT OUT ON DIVISONS WITH MY BOY ELDER JORGENSEN AGAIN and for those who dont know what divisions are its when you switch comps for the day. I think there called smth different in ever mission

Chill stuff from the week

-got transfer news and im staying in the same area with same comp which means I dont gotta lead out or anything so CHILL

-I was reading some church history thing and then was able to help a newly convert with what I read in very broken spanish 

-all the dope people in my zone are staying this transfer

OH WAITTT smth crazy did happen

 

Basically one day we go to contact this log cabin looking house and this lady answers the door (probably 60-70years old) at first I was like yooo is that a white person?? But then I realized where I was and then i was like nope probably just the lighting. WELLLL my comp starts talking to her in spanish and she's like "oh sorry I'm not interested and I don't speak spanish" well thats when I entered the game and was like "yo I don't either" and then I realized how chill being a missionary is when you know the language cause I could actually ask her questions and stuff. But she was being super sus and said she has lived in honduras for 10 years. I asked her if she lived with family and she said "im not allowed to answer that". Then I looked more at her house and all the Windows where darkened and she was barely openig the door. I decided not to risk it and just left but im pretty sure she was running from the US government or smth. Or maybe shes in witness protection program but getting sent to honduras for that would be such an L lol

 

Anyways chill week just on that spanish grind as always if somebody wants to hit me up and explain subjunctive I'd be down

Only Hate The Road When You Are Missing Home-La Ceiba Week Twenty One

 

this week I had 2 divisions and both of them i left my area it was so dope cause i basically didnt have to do anything those 2 days besides teach. And since nobody knew who i was i went in acting like i was fluent and that would last for about 20 seconds until they asked me a question but hey it was a good 20 seconds🔥🔥

 

First division was with the brazilian dude who went home for medical problems like 6 months ago, came back this transfer, and today hes at the hospital for the same stuff OOP and when i was with him we stayed home all day so probablyyy hes going home soon

 

second division was with ELDER LYMANN literally all you need to know is bros my ZL and all he was talking about was how he wants a mini cooper to take girls on dates in at BYU like i know more about mini coopers and all the makes and models than i should it was nuts

 

mission work always be on the grind, the transfer ends next week and im lowkey terrified to lead this area but what can ya do

 

stuff from the week

-bishopric counselour thinks im a pervert cause i joined a convo late and he was saying how in the states we celebrate mardi gras with shirtless girls and i only heard mardi gras so i went "ME ENCANTA" so rip

-our neighbors were playing super smash bros and i wanted to go show them my down tilt skills with pacman but comp said no😏

-the hate ive been getting for my spanish skills has been crazy or maybe im finally understanding all the hate people give me but THAT ONLY FUELSS THE STUDYINGGG

 

everybody go route against ohio state for me and if noah neilson is reading this i dont like notre dame either🏈🏈🔥🔥

 

I Don't Know What Happened This Week -La Ceiba Week Twenty

 

OKAY a few weeks ago i think i asked for people to pray for some crazy stuff to happen and GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS this week was so all over the place but so chill too

 

MILEXIS

k so long story short this lady *had* a baptism date but after not being able to contact her we were like nahh she aint interested. Which is the worst cause her younger daughter we baptized a few weeks ago. Anyways this family lives right next to her sister who is a W ward member so lots of family ties to the church. Welllll one day at like 8:30 we decide to pop by and see if milexis was home just to say hi. We found her cooking up some food but she was not interested in talking to us at all, so her two kids came out and we talked with them for a sec but thye are only 9 and 6 years old. After a few minutes i realized a random taxi was in front of us which was weird cause this is a back road and not alot of taxis drive back roads. I ignored it but then Milexis finishes cooking her food and goes into the cab with the guy. Her kids keep bringing her more and more food and eventually shes like "yo im gonna dip for a second with this dude". Her kids start crying cause they are only 9 and 6 oh and theres a 2 year old baby. The 9 year old asks why she cant take the baby atleast and she says "Wellll we are just gonna go get gas" uhhhhh yah sure. She ends up leaving with the dude and the 9 year old hands me and my comp some food. I think we taught her smth i cant remember i was too shook these kids got abandoned. We couldnt really do anything so we were just like uhhhh good night.

 

4 DAYS LATER

we stop by again and this time the whole family is there. Drama has gone down and the family  is all mad at this mom who abandoned her kids. Welp now they are moving in with this taxi driver so we gotta wittness the mom forcing all the crying children into the taxi and leaving every body. With my limited spanish i was confused but got the jist and it was sad.

 

besides that chill week. Ive realized unless its a total goat you probably gonna struggle with your comp. Rn my comp is being super hyper excessive obedient which for non missionaries might not seem bad but i hope all the missionaries out there understand. It can be frustrating cause with me learning the language still he just makes every decision and doesn't really include me so L. He's still a chill guy tho

 

A TON more happened this week but my pdays ending early for something my comp agreed too so not to interested in writing more lol

The Dad Lore Year -La Ceiba Week Twenty Two

 

Welcome to the year that the USA doesn't exist for me and alot of people I know🤝🇺🇸🏈🦅 (hey ty and ben)

 

K totally unrelated but WHAT IS COLLEGE FOOTBALL this playoff has been crazy kinda an L year to miss but we just praying Ohio state doesn't take it all the way

 

Back to missionary stuff this week was chill at some points and really frustrating at other so let's go chill first

 

ELDER JORGENSENNN total goat from Washington who was actually my ccm comps trainer but yah we went on divisions and one of the chillest days of the mission so far we taught still but just were dying laughing and yapping the whole day it honestly made going back to my normal comp a struggle cause my comps great and all but he doesn't like to talk to me sometimes👌

 

OKAY gotta do spanish rant cause I swear nobody talks about this but THIS STUFF IS CRAZY im like what almost 5 months trying to learn this and still completely lost and not just in spanish too just how to be a missionary is a total mystery but it's okay not one day day one

 

Quick notes

-People keep giving me random fruits and im like yo chill and then I realize why I've never seen it before cause it's terrible

-we had a sleepover with elderjorgensens companionship last night and was chill

-Michigan beat Alabama

 

That's been this week missions going better in general I think still LOTS of ups and downs but that's missions for you shoutout to all the boys on missions
